Hi! My name is Kim Mills. I love having my own business, yes it's hard work, but I need the flexibility in my life. After I had my youngest son in 1988, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I went back to work full-time when he was 3 years old. I struggled until 1998 when I finally couldn't do it anymore. It was either work and go to bed as soon as I got home and all weekend. Or stay at home and be able to enjoy my two beautiful boys and my fantastic husband. I, of course chose the latter of the two! Three years ago, I discovered "Ebay" !! Wow, I couldn't believe that I could help with the bills and still rest when needed! Plus do something that I enjoyed! I love to do crafts. I really enjoy taking jeans and making new creations out of them! Be it a purse, embellished-recycled jeans & capris, throw pillows....or whatever I may dream of.
Almost every aspect of my creations are from recycled items, including buttons, charms, belts, scarfs, beads, fabrics....etc. Whatever I can reuse to eliminate any wastefulness! Why fill our landfills with usable materials!!
I design my creations with the upbeat, "go for it" kind of teen/woman in mind! This skirt is sure to get you noticed for your "TODAY" kind of style and boldness!
I have been sewing and designing distressed, painted & embellished jeans, capris, skirts, purses, dolls, pillows or....whatever comes to mind, for many years.
I assure you that everything I create is crafted with the utmost quality & care.
Please remember with handcrafted items that all aspects are not exact or perfect! Fabric flaws and discolorations are intentional!
This is what gives them their uniqueness & character!!
I also love to bargain shop and now I don't have to "wish I could wear that" because I can buy it and pass the savings on to you. I also love to go to auctions and estate sales....and wow, what wonderful items I can find. I hope to keep doing this for many years to come. As long as my fibromyalgia will allow me anyway!
